Phlebotomy This is an eleven-week 128-hour program designed to teach students in drawing and handling blood samples through venipuncture and skin puncture techniques for laboratory testing in hospitals, doctors' office, and large service laboratories. Emphasis will be on approved methods and safety, medical terminology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures. This course will contain lecture discussion and practical instructions on performing skills needed to be a certified phlebotomist. Students may be required to do one week of externship before graduating. |
