The Nurses Assistant Training Program
The nurses assistant training program is designed to instruct students in the skills necessary to provide basic care for clients in long-term settings. The 76-hour course includes 60 hours of classroom/lab instruction and 16 hours of clinical preparation, which meets the requirement for nurse assistant training in Ohio. Since the course follows state and federal guidelines, class and clinical attendance is mandatory. The program is scheduled to last three weeks and two days
This course is a pre-requirement for students who wish to attend most nursing schools. Credits earned in this class can be applied to any nursing school.

Note: All payments and paperwork are due one week before class

Students will be required to complete 16 hours of clinicals on Saturday and Sunday, typically 12.75 hours on Saturday and four hours on Sunday. The times and dates for clinicals will be assigned  by the end of the first week  of class. Gait belt and all white tennis shoes ir required for this course. Students may purchase gait belt at the school.

Entrance requirements (For STNA Students): 
• Applicant must be 18 years of age or provide parental approval to take course
• Applicant must submit a recent Physical examination within 12 months.
• Applicant must submit documentation of T.B. test within the last year. 
(All positive TB test must be accompanied by normal chest X-ray results)
• Applicant must submit a form of picture ID.
• Applicant must either possess a valid CPR card or be prepared to take CPR as part of the course
All necessary documents must be turned in prior to start of class
